First lectureship Sustainable Energy and Green Materials established in the Netherlands
Last Wednesday CAH, the University of Applied Science in Dronten, and ACRRES (Application Centre for Renewable Resources) in Lelystad signed an agreement for cooperation on a joint lectureship Sustainable Energy and Green Materials. Regionally, these organisations will jointly be working on a network between educational institutions, industry, and applied research to further advance the study field of sustainable energy and green materials. Lecturer Han van Kasteren, left on the photo, is heading the lectureship.
Besides development of the field of study and the network, the joint expertise will initially mainly be utilised for organising symposiums, for executing projects, and for teaching students. These efforts link up perfectly with the objectives of ACRRES. ACRRES, an initiative of Wageningen UR with Eneco as strategic partner, wishes -together with companies, stakeholder organisations, authorities and educational institutions- to develop, test and demonstrate sustainable energy on the basis of sun, wind and biomass, as well as applications of green raw materials and cycles, while offering educational opportunities. The centre also wishes to realise applications for a maximum utilisation of green raw materials as well as for closing cycles.
